Slow dance

SLOW DANCE

Have you ever watched kids on a merry-go-round?

Or listened to the rain slapping on the ground?

Ever followed a butterfly’s erratic flight?

Or gazed at the sun into the fading night?
You better slow down.

Don’t dance so fast.

Time is short.

The music won’t last.
Do you run through each day on the fly?

When you ask, “How are you?”

Do you hear the reply?
When the day is done, do you lie in your bed,

with the next hundred chores running through your head?
You’d better slow down

Don’t dance so fast.

Time is short

The music won’t last.
Ever told your child,

We’ll do it tomorrow?

And in your haste,

Not see his sorrow?
Ever lost touch, let a good friendship die

Cause you never had time

To call and say,’Hi’
You’d better slow down.

Don’t dance so fast.

Time is short.

The music won’t last..
When you run so fast to get somewhere,

You miss half the fun of getting there.
When you worry and hurry through your day,

It is like an unopened gift….

Thrown away.
Life is not a race.

Do take it slower

Hear the music

Before the song is over.

The Joy of Communal life.

In a civilization built upon a capitalist mentality the ability to be charitable is a rare virtue.

The joy in sharing is something that cannot be understated , communal life with fellow human beings is as common as a seed among stones.

A life lived for oneself is not a life lived at all. For what greater goal has a man , than to live to never truly die . A good man may die in the flesh but he shall forever be immortalized in the hearts of those he favoured.

Be charitable , live communally , Live to never truly die.

                   -Youngblood.

The Stranger

This poem tells the story of a young man who travelled overseas in search of greener pastures only to discover that they were all stillborn promises.

The essence of the poem is to teach us never to disconnect from our roots , because that is where we truly belong.

                       -Youngblood .

Beyond what meets the eye.

In the world we live in today, people choose not to read in between the lines instead they go with the easiest things that come to their minds.

Lets take this image for example every normal person would say that is just a market and some pedestrians going about their daily business. I’m not trying to say that is wrong, I’m just trying to say that nothing we see is a fact , everything we see is a perspective that may or may not be totally different through the eyes of another person.

From my perspective I see a group of people that are connected not by blood but by one similar intrest “To make end’s meet”.

I see the bus driver yelling at the top of his voice in search of passengers so that his children can have dinner tonight.

I see the tomatoe seller bargaining with a customer so that she may be able to still sell tomorrow.

I see the girl selling sachet water hoping for customers so that she may one day sit in a classroom without fear.

That is what I see…..What you see is up to you………Always look deeper for you may never know what lies within.

                         -Youngblood.
